THIS CONTEST IS OFFERED ONLY IN THE 50 STATES OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, AND IS INTENDED FOR PARTICIPATION IN THOSE AREAS ONLY. PLEASE DO NOT PROCEED IF YOU ARE NOT A LEGAL U.S. RESIDENT. THIS CONTEST SHALL BE CONSTRUED AND GOVERNED ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF THE U.S.

1. How to Enter: The The Great American Craft Off Contest (“Contest”) begins at 12:01 a.m. PT on November 1, 2007 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on December 31, 2007 (“Contest Period”). Voting begins at 12:01 a.m. PT January 1st and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on January 7th, 2008 (“Voting Period”). For purposes of this Contest, all times refer to Pacific Time (“PT”). To enter, complete and thereafter submit a Contest entry form. The Contest entry form is accessible from http://www.craftoff.com. All required Entry information must be completed in full. You may enter one or multiple original handmade creations. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. PT on December 31, 2007. Any attempted form of entry other than as described herein is void.

2. Eligibility: The Contest is only open to legal residents of the 50 states of the United States and the District of Columbia, who are physically located and residing therein, and who are 18 years of age or older as of November 1, 2007.

3. Prizes/Odds of Winning. One (1) Grand Prize. Grand Prize winner will receive Grand Prize, to be selected and determined in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. Grand Prize consists of:

An all-expenses-paid trip to the John C. Campbell Folk Art School including one week's tuition, room & board, and round-trip airfare. Total value over $1500.
A Singer CE-250 embroidery/sewing machine & serger valued at $1200.
A complete custom website design including online store and hosting from BizLandCrafters.com valued at $2100.
A $500 gift card to Michaels Arts & Crafts.
A gift certificate to SonicPrint.com for 2,500 custom postacards and business cards.
A $375 Premium Subscription to the Online Learning Library at Lynda.com.

In addition to the Grand Prize, two runners-up will receive a HomeGrownMarket.com Handmade Gift Pack and a signed copy of Nifty, Thrifty, and Kitschy Crafts by Leah Kramer, founder of Craftster.org

Grand Prize winner must pay any and all expenses not specified herein including but not limited to transportation to/from airport and other locations and are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize winner and his or her guest. Prizes are also subject to availability, holiday/blackout dates and other Grand Prize restrictions. ARV of each Grand Prize is approximately $6,200. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible Entries received. No substitution, transfer or cash equivalent for a prize (or prize component), except that Sponsor, at its sole discretion, may substitute a prize of equal value due to prize unavailability for any reason. Prizes will be shipped within the 50 states of the U.S. and D.C. only. All federal, state, or other taxes are sole responsibility of each winner.

4. Judging and Notification of Winner: Winner will be selected from the ten entries which received the highest number of votes during the Voting Period. The winner will be determined on or about January 20th, 2008 (“Judging Date”) by the HomeGrownMarket.com judges. The winner will be the entry that showcases the most unique craft based on creativity, relevance to the American theme, and materials used. Each potential winner will be notified by email or phone at the email address or phone number provided on his/her Entry within one (1) week of the Judging Date. If a potential winner cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been exerted, he/she is found to be ineligible, he/she cannot or does not comply with these Official Rules, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner will be selected at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

5. General Conditions: This Contest is subject to these Official Rules and all federal, state and local laws and regulations (collectively “Rules and Laws”). Each potential winner will be required to execute and return a Publicity Release (where legal), and any other documentation that Contest Administrator and/or Sponsor may require (collectively “Releases”), within five (5) days after receipt or such potential winner may be disqualified and an alternate potential winner will be selected. By returning the completed Releases, such potential winner attests to the authenticity of his/her Entry. Once submitted, Entries become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in Sponsor’s privacy policy, except where prohibited by law, entry and/or a winner’s acceptance of a prize constitutes permission of such winner for Sponsor to use, without notice or further compensation, worldwide, and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, including, without limitation, on the Web Site, such winner’s first name, last initial, city and state. Additionally, if you choose to opt-in to to receive information from participating Contest Sponsors, your personal information will be subject to that Contest Sponsor’s privacy policy and terms of service (if applicable) and you agree to receive additional email communication from that Contest Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or any Web page or Web banner ad related to the Contest; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Contest will be ineligible to win a prize and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, Sponsor, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Contest and conduct the drawing from all eligible Entries received prior to and/or after (as appropriate) the action taken by Sponsor. Notice of such action will be posted on Contest home page.

6. Disclaimers: Contest Entities are not responsible or liable for Entries that are entered by other than human means (such as by an automated computer program or any non-human mechanism, entity, or device), or for Entries that are illegible, late, destroyed, lost, misplaced, stolen, misdirected, tampered with, incomplete, deleted, damaged, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules and all such Entries will be disqualified. By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees and acknowledges to be bound by the Rules and Laws, as well as the decisions of Contest Administrator which are final and binding in all respects; to waive any rights to claim ambiguity with the Rules and Laws, and that Contest Sponsors shall have no responsibility or liability (including, but not limited to, liability for any property loss, damage, personal injury or death) in connection with: participation in this Contest; use/misuse of a prize (including, but not limited to any company or any other persons providing any services for the Grand Prize winner and his/her guests during the trip due to reasons beyond control of Sponsor and/or Contest Sponsors); human error; incorrect or inaccurate transcription of Entry information; any technical malfunctions of the telephone network, computer online system, computer dating mechanism, computer equipment, software, or internet service provider utilized by the Contest; interruption or inability to access the Contest, Web Site, or any online service via the internet due to hardware or software compatibility problems; any damage to entrant’s (or any third person’s) computer and/or its contents related to or resulting from any part of this Contest; any lost/delayed data transmissions, omissions, interruptions, defects; and/or any other errors or malfunctions, even if caused by the negligence of one of the Contest Sponsors. Entrants further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Contest Sponsors from any and all liability resulting or arising from the Contest, to release all rights to bring any claim, action or proceeding against the Contest Entities, and hereby acknowledge that said Contest Entities have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize except those warranties (if any) generally provided with the merchandise.
